The law firm of Penty & Company, Lawyers, located in Kelowna BC in the Okanagan, finds its origins in a one man practice, set up by Samuel Casey Wood in 1971. Mr. Wood's firm was the first law practice in Rutland and soon prospered. Tom Kendall joined practice with Mr. Wood's successor firm in 1983, and Christopher Penty joined the firm in 1985. With several changes over the years in name and personnel, in 1998 the firm became Kendall, Penty & Company. The firm has been in its new premises on Dougall Road North since 1999. In 2005 Tom Kendall passed away and Christopher Penty continued on his own under the revised name of Penty and Company as of January 2006. In 2011, Thomas Berger joined the firm as an Associate Lawyer.

Penty & Company, Lawyers is a full service law firm which is dedicated to excellence in service. Christopher Penty and Thomas Berger represent a broad range of clients from large corporations to individuals, on all types of legal matters.

The new, modern office contains up-to-date computer equipment and research methods, while both lawyers constantly keep abreast of recent legal developments through attendance at Legal Education courses and by canvassing the most current publications.
